it seems as though paint splatter has become the new tie-dye. frequently seen during men's fashion week, dries van noten and gaultier both flashed pants, knits and shirts covered with splatter. not only is this new trend capturing many with it's alternativeness to tie-dye, but it is also longed for because of it's rougher, more masculine edge that it brings. i wouldnt mind having one myself, in fact this is going to be my new project. i will collect a white, button down shirt and some darker paints (above) and i will hand paint it myself. as tim blanks reported, "the blotches were hand painted in couturiers in como."
