battle wound

the other night, monday the 3rd to be exact, i was helping my father with the ceiling in the basement. as i was waiting to hold up yet again another grid of plastic i kicked out my foot and ended up kicking the electric drill. to my suprise the drill bit went right through my foot about an inch or more so my mother, being a nurse, got out her nurse kit, cleaned my foot and took me to the hospital. this all happened around 9:15 pm and my mother and friend megan didnt leave the hospital until 11:30. i had to get two shots, one being my tetnis shot which i would've had to get pretty soon anyway and another shot to numb my foot so the doctor could look inside the cut and make sure no excess metal or debris was in my foot. thankfully my foot is healthy although i do have to take antibiotics to heal it and use crutches for about a week.
