beautiful shoes. the black ones are great as well.
not to mention they are doc martens 1460; added bonus.
yesterday i tried, but was unsuccessful, at giving blood. my hemoglobin was supposed to be above 12.5 in order to give blood and, on my left middle finger it was 11.1 and on my right middle finger it was 11.8. so i guess i have to get my iron up before i try and give blood next time. plus i have yet to find out my blood type, but i get to have a blood donor card sent to me in the mail for next time i try! woo hoo.
Saturday night my friend and I went and saw the new movie the back up plan; a funny but also serious movie about the back up plan actress Jennifer lopez encounters when her previous relationships failed and she goes for artificial insemination. On the exact day Zoe, Lopez, has her first doctor's appointment for her procedure with previously frozen sperm, she meets Stan, Alex O'Loughlin. Meets cute, in fact, because they both grab the same Manhattan taxi and fight over who got it first. Stan is good-looking and unhitched with a cheese-making farm in upstate New York but he dreams of opening his own grocery store with local, sustainable farm goods in the city. Stan is given a bad first marriage to a Swedish nymphomaniac that makes him distrustful of women while Zoe was deserted by her father, which makes her distrustful of men; both screenwrites that help extend the courtship through her nine months of pregnancy. There is so much more to this movie, and I’m quite tired so if you feel like reading the rest of the review, you can go here. All in all, it was a great movie and should be seen whenever you guys have the free time. Not to mention the handsome, smart, and romantic main character (who is also irish!) that is shirtless quite a bit throughout the movie!

i am so extremely excited about growing my own herbs this summer. i plan on growing peppermint, lavender, borage, calendula, parsley, basil, saffron and a few others. although i've tried several times to go full on vegan, but it's hard when you're in school and in sports and you're so tired because the easiest meal becomes one that either my mom already makes or processed foods which i hate to say are so good but terribly bad for me! but i know that when summer comes along and i'm out of school and sports, being a vegan will be a lot easier.. especially when i can walk out into my backyard and pick my lunch.
